Two Wichita Presbyterian Manor employees test positive for COVID-19

WICHITA, Kan. – Two new cases of COVID-19 were detected at Wichita Presbyterian Manor this week.

Two employees in our assisted living community tested positive. The employees were sent home to quarantine. We will follow the PMMA® Emergent Infectious Disease (EID) Policy, Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and CDC guidelines in determining when the employees may return to work and any restrictions upon their return.

The Sedgwick County Health Department has been notified, and we will follow their testing and visitation guidance. These are the first two cases on our campus since February.

PMMA strongly encourages residents’ families, employees and residents to carefully consider obtaining a vaccine for themselves as well as their loved ones. Every person who receives the vaccine will strengthen the protection for all residents, staff and the community at-large.

For more information about Wichita Presbyterian Manor’s response, go to PMMA’s (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s) website, Presbyterianmanors.org/Media-room.
