Yes, Wichita Presbyterian Manor is part of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, a not-for-profit organization that has been serving seniors for more than 70 years. Our not-for-profit status means that we are able to focus all of our resources on our mission rather than serving shareholders.
Wichita Presbyterian Manor opened in 1970. Presbyterian Manor of Mid-America started in 1949, when our first location opened in Newton.
The Westerly residences offer beautiful one- and two-bedroom apartments, with outdoor patios or balconies. The Westwinds duplexes offer two bedrooms and two baths and have private outdoor patios.
Yes. We are a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), also known as a Life Plan Community. We have independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care and short-term rehabilitation.
Monthly fees begin at $3,181 for The Westerly, and $4,018 for The Westwinds duplexes, depending on the residence selected. Westerly only offers an entrance fee plus monthly service fee option, with the Unique Healthcare Benefit. The Westwinds offer a monthly accommodation fee only option or an entrance fee with a lower monthly fee option starting at $1,420. We recommend you speak with your financial adviser about the best option for you.
Medicaid does not apply to independent living.
We have a financial plan/timeline that can help you commit to your next address on our campus while your house is still on the market. Ask the marketing director for details.
For Westerly Residences residents, we offer a 4’ x 4’ storage area. There is no on-site storage available for residents in The Westwinds, but we can refer you to several options nearby for additional storage. A move of this kind usually requires anticipating future needs and making some tough decisions about furnishings and possessions. In truth, you most likely spend the majority of your time in just a few rooms of your house. We can help you in planning. We’ll work with you personally to ensure the choices you make are right for you and consistent with the way you want live.
Our doors are locked between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., and a team member regularly walks the buildings during those hours. The campus is gated and requires a security card for entry after 5 p.m.
Dining is an important component of our culture at Wichita Presbyterian Manor. We offer flexible meal plans with seasonal and always-available menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner so you can choose what you’d like to eat. The number of meal points you have depends on where you live on campus. Meal points may be used at The Landing or the Bistro.
There are walk-in closets in The Westerly Residences.
Our Westerly Residences have a stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. In our Westwinds duplexes, there is a full size refrigerator and stove.
The Westerly Residences have a patio or balcony, and The Westwinds duplexes have a patio.
The Westerly apartments have a washer and dryer provided in each apartment.
For Westerly Residences, electric, gas, water, trash, sewer, cable and wireless internet are included.
Housekeeping for The Westerly Residences is provided every two weeks, plus bed linen service. For The Westwinds, the service is available for a fee.
Yes. One covered parking spot is available per residence for residents of The Westerly Residences. Westwinds duplex residents have garages. Additional open parking is available.
Yes. If it is a scheduled event, there is no cost for transportation. We also offer individual transportation for a fee.
Yes, we allow pets in independent living. One dog or cat under 25 pounds, plus birds and fish are allowed.
Adult children can live with you if they are 65+ and meet the application requirements.
Yes. The minimum age for The Westerly Residences is 62, and 65 for The Westwinds.
Yes, we have an indoor pool and wellness center.
