New Executive Director Courtney Wolfe returns home

Wichita Presbyterian Manor experienced a homecoming when Courtney Wolfe joined the team as executive director in February.

“I’ve found that sometimes the greatest opportunities in life come to us when we least expect them, and that has certainly been the case with my return to Presbyterian Manor,” said Courtney.

Courtney said she is thrilled to return to the community where she started her senior living career in 2002.

“I look forward to getting to know the residents and employees. Wichita Presbyterian Manor has a long-standing tradition of excellence in serving seniors, and the newly expanded campus and service offerings only exemplify those opportunities. What a tremendous honor to return to such an amazing campus,” she said.

Courtney said she’s always held a special appreciation for Wichita Presbyterian Manor and, in many ways, the opportunity to return to the community also feels like coming home.

While pursuing her degree in pediatric nursing at Wichita State University, Courtney was the activity coordinator at Wichita Presbyterian Manor from 2002 to 2006.

“After a short time working here, I realized that I had a passion to serve seniors,” Courtney said. “I quickly grew to realize that I was called to serve in health care—just not in a nursing role. As a result, I changed my degree path to health care administration. I know that, had it not been for that opportunity to serve as the activity coordinator here, I likely wouldn’t be in the position I am today.”

Courtney’s career path has included professional roles at several area retirement communities.

“The experiences I’ve gained in each of the previous positions I’ve held have given me great perspective. I better understand the challenges our employees face in their positions. Importantly, I also understand the profound impact we can make each day in the lives of those we serve,” said Courtney.

In her spare time, Courtney enjoys spending time with Jason, her husband of 11 years, and their active and outgoing six-year-old daughter, Abigail.

When she’s not working or shopping (she’s a self-professed shopaholic), you’ll find Courtney on a tropical beach with her family, or volunteering at Abigail’s school.
