"Aren't you that news lady?"
After 30 years on TV, Stephanie Bergmann traded the anchor desk for a marketing and sales job at Wichita Presbyterian Manor. It's a big change in career, but it's a natural fit for her.
"You see, I'm going through the same challenge many families are facing -- how to care for an aging mother who loves her independence. At 88, my mom still drives and is active, but she lives alone in a house with stairs," Stephanie says. She worries it's not the safest situation.
As she looked for senior living options for Mom, she quickly learned why Wichita Presbyterian Manor gets five-star ratings from Medicare.gov. Beautiful apartments, great food, and all levels of care on one campus.
"Now that I work here, I've seen even more benefits. Fun, daily activities help residents make friends and stay healthy, mentally and physically," Stephanie says. "I would love to show you why I'm so proud of Wichita Presbyterian Manor. We'd love to have you as a neighbor."
Join Stephanie and Annette Graham from the Central Plains Area Agency on Aging for dinner at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 19 in the Westwinds Independent Living, and meet some of the seniors who made the move to independent living.
RSVP to Stephanie at 316-942-7456 or firstname.lastname@example.org by May 12.
