Dining at Wichita Presbyterian Manor
Wichita Presbyterian Manor’s philosophy of resident-centered senior living has transformed the dining experience to a modern, restaurant-like atmosphere. Residents are treated to multiple dining venues where menus feature an array of delicious selections, which rotate seasonally and upon popularity.
Executive Chef Dany Chebat studied to become a chef in Beirut, then worked seven years for the Intercontinental Hotel chain in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and for two years at the Maronite Catholic Institute in Rome.
Chef Dany obtained a U.S. visa (and eventually becoming a U.S. citizen) and worked in Las Vegas for 12 years, first as a sous chef at the Palms Casino Resort and then helping open several restaurants. The last was his own, a French-American breakfast spot called the Daily Egg.
He enjoys the freedom he has at Wichita Presbyterian Manor to change the menu every two weeks and the specials on a daily basis, and so do the residents!
The Wichita Presbyterian Manor campus provides dining options throughout the campus as well as a Bistro in the campus commons.
The Bistro is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday offering a varied menu of breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, pizzas and desserts. The Bistro also offers a take-out service.
Independent living residents have two dining room options, The Landing and The Westwinds Dining Room. The Westwinds Dining Room offers a noon meal seven days a week. The Landing offers two dinner seating times Monday through Saturday and a Sunday brunch with buffet service.
