Memory Care & Dementia Care in Wichita
Brand-new memory care for Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia
It’s difficult to know what to do when someone close to you begins to show signs of memory impairment. Fortunately, you have a resource to turn to for answers, guidance and care.
At Wichita Presbyterian Manor, our brand-new memory care is familiar, reassuring and supportive. The Cypress neighborhood is specially designed to provide the familiarity of a home with family-style dining, a sunroom, living room and a secure outdoor courtyard. Our focus is on creating a supportive and life-enriching environment for seniors in the early to middle stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
Our new program draws on Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s more than 25-years of experience and leadership in offering specially-tailored programs for seniors living with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Wichita Presbyterian Manor is the third PMMA community to implement the Behavior Based Ergonomic Therapy program.
The BBET program is based on ergonomics and neuroscience research on the progression of Alzheimer’s disease and the changes that occur in the brain. Since its launch in 2010, the BBET program has won six national awards and spread to more than 14 senior living communities specializing in memory care in three states.
